A place to stay
the camp 2022
Skookum View is difficult to access, located on the side of a small mountain, so a work (and play) camp was made for 2022. The camp was moved close to the cabin site for 2023.
Wylie and Rand made an outhouse for the camp and tested out the time-lapse camera.
The Camp 2023
The 2023 camp is higher on the hill, just above the cabin site. It has nice evening shade and a great view. Additionally, we put up solar panels and we have a Starlink connection so we have internet. Water is close by and we have a refrigerated cooler so we can easily stay in camp all week to eliminate the commute.

The Cabin 2022
Ultimately, a small cabin will be built.
The interior will be simple and compact. Gray squares indicate windows and a door.
There will be 6 layers of logs and then a 4/12 roof.
The cabin 2023
Skookum went from a hole in the ground to a covered cabin. It’s still not livable, as there are no windows, no floor, no heat, but there has been major progress.
