Over the past week or so I have been trying to get going so we can hit the ground running when Logan arrives. Most of the supplies are ordered and the following images show the process of getting the new camp up.
We dug holes to set posts, then built a simple 2 by 4 framework on top. Wylie helped put in the joists and screw down the plywood platforms.
We put up two platforms. Tom and Wylie celebrated finishing the last platform with an elegant dance.
The wall tents are up with an extra tarp over the top. A kitchen tarp spans the space between the tents. There’s some more tweaking, and more to add, but the camp basics are in place so we can start spending nights up at the site while working.
