There was plenty of melting since my last visit a month ago. Side by side photos shown below are dramatic.

The cistern appears to be in good shape. I need to get inside it to seal it in June.

The tractor (covered in tarps) was almost buried a month ago, but is now melted out and on dry ground. Note the trench that formed over the waterline to the cabin site from settling.

Even in the trees where the outhouse sits the snow is largely gone.

The pole for the solar panel is also open. The duct tape and plastic wrap over the controller looks like it came through the winter in good shape.

The water flow into the spring box is good, and the overflow system seems about right as long as the flow doesn’t increase. (See the water squirting through the holes into the center pipe.) I was disturbed that there was so much sediment in the water. This suggests I will want to wait before starting the pump and may need to wash out the spring box at the beginning of each year.

A trench has developed over much of the waterline due to settling. Hopefully the waterline is fine…
