July 26

With Mark staying to help, we’ve made good progress and have poured the walls of the spring box. This involved operating the mixer/pump for the first time plus some hard labor. So far, so good.

Stages of building the form for the spring box. We started with 2-inch foam insulation walls, then put a rebar web inside that, and finally built plywood wall forms farthest inside. Supports were built inside, and straps over plywood mostly held the exterior. Some additional supports were used on the longer sections of the exterior wall.

Wylie filled the water tank on the mixer/pump and is overly proud of his achievement.

Figuring out the pump and lubricating with silicon grease.

Mark mixing.
Spring box walls poured!
Mark finished his trip by inserting the “T” into the waterline for the cabin cellar.
